thanks -- great information! I'll have to lay about 600ft of conduit in my yard and your video will definitely make it go a lot smoother. I think I'll build a wooden jig because I have to observe a minimum bend radius.

I usually hold the tip of the torch 4"-8" away, but it's really not about the distance but rather the how long you hold the torch in one spot. it only takes a split second to scorch that puppy!....so you have to constantly be on the move. I find that the areas most prone to burn are at the end of long strokes, so to counter that you literally have to remove the flame and re-apply. you can't simply reverse directions. This definitely takes some practice, just keep at it.
