  • your more than welcome, I will do my best to post another video on here when I have a free moment.

  • Its taken me roughly 6 years to get this down. It never ends. The more you do it the better you get. Takes time and alot of patience.

  • I use the same recipe for braiding soap as what David Morgan uses and what is in Ron Edwards How to Make Whips. You could add some Eucalyptus essential oil to help take away the smell. I believe this is the best recipe to use. Hope this helps.

  • This was the full video length, but When I get a chance I will post more videos and I will show the beginning start of the handle, thanks for asking though. Now i know what to shoot next.

  • Watching someone do this is absolutely amazing. I have a book on leather braiding and I still don't get it. hahaha I didn't realize you had to pull on the thong so hard.

  • @builderofstuff

It takes a little while to learn how to braid and put everything together, pulling as hard as I am in this video isnt always necessary it just depends on how tight of a job you want.

  • Does anyone know where I can get start to finish instructions for how to do this?

  • Thanks for posting this video, Nick. Just starting out making whips and and constantly looking for new posts showing plaiting. Would love to see more!

  • looks hard to do!! how long did it take to get it down?

  • Great video, thanks for posting! What are you using for 'braiding soap'? I've used the David Morgan recipe made with ivory soap, but the smell gets to be a bit much... would like to know alternative.

  • can you show the braiding from the begining?
