A building blitz is underway in Sylvania to give Paul and Nicole Martinez a new, handicap accessible home.
Each year Ridge Stone Builders from Perrysburg and dozens of volunteers build a home for someone who need it.
This year's recipients, Paul and Nicole, both suffer from different auto-immune disorders and face a future of life in wheelchairs.
"It's going to be a great piece of mind," Paul said. "It's just going to be a really nice, though, if God forbid, something does happen that we will be here in the house and have everybody close to us."
The home is being built in the Highland View Park area of Sylvania.
Construction started Thursday morning. Paul, Nicole, and their two children expect to move into their new home by Oct. 10-12.
