This is an accident and not on purpuse. In this video it show that the horse trip by itself. Look at the rope when it fell there was slack in it and not straight.

The sport of terrorizing animals. What is so lacking inside these people that they only find joy in abuse? For those claiming that this is a "tradition" and "part of our culture", do you wish to bring back slavery and repeal women's votes as well? This is nothing but a blood sport without quite so much gore. Get into the modern world.

If this was not intentional, why did they not take the pony out of the ring?. It was lame.
Also if this was football or baseball, the human player injured "accidently" would have been taken off, not made to carry on. Also those players have chosen to play football, baseball and they understand the game. This pony was distressed, and had not a clue what was happening.
I am not a bleeding heart, and have never come across this before, but it does NOT look accidental.

Please stop lying about this happening intentionally every sport wether rodeo charreada football or baseball has unplanned accidents which was in this case.

Ok first off I was there that was that estatales it wasn't a intentional trip for THOSE who only speak out their a** the asociation of charros in the US don't allow the actual trip the lassoing yes but the actual pull to trip no! This was a freak accident that these racist fanatics use if it was on purpose why did all then event come to a halt and commentator get on the charros case???

search for this video also about Horse Tripping.... "HORSE TRIPPING VIDEO ABOUT CRONKITE NEWSWATCH"
Really... the race card? At the Senate Natural Resource Committee meeting on April 25, 2011, testimony entered alleged "these events don't happen in Nevada" and "the horse never goes down". The purpose of this video was to prove that testimony was false. End of story.
