Background: M-KAI were the winners of the 2001 WonderWitch Grand Prix, a coding compo for the Bandai WonderSwan with an official consumer dev kit, the WonderWitch. Judgement Silversword was turned into a commercial, cartridge-based release following the contest, and remains perhaps the most sought-after WonderSwan title.

After this, M-KAI continued to develop homebrew projects, including Cardinal Sins, the sequel to Judgement Silversword. Their next title, Project E-Force, would not be finished until 2006, as Self-Produce, the game seen here.

This third release certainly shows impressive technical mastery of the platform, but continues to have a bit of an unfinished feel. While the animated, scrolling backdrops and pseudo sprite rotation are nice, there are only two stages, and the second ends abruptly without any sort of climax.
