We shot trains, planes, automobiles and a cruise ship. We shot underwater as well as aerials. We shot the tallest building and the only seven star hotel in the world. We made Kuala Lumpur look like cities from all over the world. We had Emirati, Lebanese, Indian, British, French, German, Dutch, Iranian, Syrian, Malaysian and American actors. We went skiing, golfing, diving and falconing. No, we didn't go into outer space.

Directed by Jens Gehlhaar, this is a five spot brand campaign for one of the worlds premier airlines. Based on the beautifully meandering, associative scripts by Jennie Morris from Dubai-based Impact BBDO, the spots take the viewer from Sao Paulo to Paris, from the Orient Express to the QE2, from Ancient Egypt to the Age of the Explorers. One entire spot is dedicated to the otherworldly city that is Dubai.

Brand New School provided a dozen animation and VFX sequences to the spots as well as all Flame finishing. We designed and animated Sumerian mosaics, Egyptian reliefs, Renaissance maps, Baroque etchings and satellite pictures. We provided two massive CG sequences of flying aircraft, as well as the Emirates branded world map showing all 100 destinations.
