Does anyone know anything more about the Triumph archtop. I acquired mine in the early seventies. I can't find any information about it. Mine was fitted with two very bad pickups. I stripped out the electrics and used it as an acoustic for many years. It's obviously a very cheap guitar but everyone who has played it loves the tone and feel. I'm just spending a ridiculous amount having it completely rebuilt and some humbuckers fitted. I must be mad but it's such a nice guitar to play.

It sounds like it should be atmosphere music in a video game

the music is interesting. it's kinda comical how off key it is. but I like it.

my friend has a triumph like yours but it is an acoustic only.
your pickup was probably after market?

it was an acoustic indeed, the pickup was mounted on with velcro at the bridge position (previous user probably moved it to prevent feedback)
does your friend have any info about his guitar? I have the number 525 on my headstock, can you check his?
thanks for the reaction
