Don Gillis RIP he always was a great announcer for bowling or different kind of sports growing up watching him I know he will be great number one announcer all time.When I bowling I will remember him in my head or behind bowling seat he will never be miss.Thanks for the memories Don Gillis. I wish it will be 190's again I will miss him forever.

what great guy he was. I remember those days When he did candlepin bowling show when I was a kid. I used to watch this all the time when I was kid growing up he will be missed.

What is the song in the background to the montage. I believe that song was also in the movie "Planes, trains & automobiles" and I've been tryin to find it.

I watched Channel 5 bowling as far back as 1970 on a 9"BW Zenith every Saturday.

The very best as the announcer of his chosen sport. And SOOO many old faces I remembrer well.
He really has a powerful announcer voice. Hard to believe he didn't move on to something bigger than local bowling tournaments, but I guess that he did what heloved.
Oh and by the way Wolfman, you might want to remember once again that this is 2008... >_>
