  • One of the top ten performances of this great, moving and 'thriving' piano concerto I've heard. Five stars.

    Tak mugge62

  • Tak for stjernerne Tom.

  • A great concert. Beethoven would be proud. But Mr Barenboim looked awfully ill, so ghostly looking. His hands were white as a ghost too. I hope this is illness is temporary. He's one the greatest pianist next to Alfred Brendel.

  • Nice!

  • Dear Mugge62: thank you very very much for sharing.

  • As always, Barenboïm is wonderful in Beethoven's concertos. Listen to his first recording of them (at 26 year old!) with Klemperer (!), and, even more, to his recording as a pianist AND a conductor with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1985.

  • Excellent performance.

However, each time when I see or hear the name of Daniel Barenboim, I just cannot help but think of British cellist Jacqueline du Pré.
