DMS 103 - Ca'Mareo Waller -2- The Administratrix Revolutions

First and foremost I am very aware of how corny this video may be. Back when I made it in 2004, The Matrix was still somewhat cool and the situation depicted within the trailer was still relevant.

This one is an oldie. I originally made this back in 2004 as the second half of an appropriation project for my Basic Video class. At the time, the Kerry vs. Bush presidential race was in full gear, and after taking a look at it, I realized how much the situation mimicked an "epic" action movie. Running on my idea I had with "The Administratrix Reloaded," I took the original trailer for "The Matrix Revolutions" and decided to appropriate it with more footage of the presidential debate and the situation in the Middle East (may seem tired and trite now but back in 2004 it was extremely relevant). This trailer, I feel, better exhibits the point I wanted to make than the previous appropriated trailer. In this one, Bush is clearly defined as the enemy whereas Kerry is the clear protagonist. This is exactly how most non-Republicans saw the two during the race. Again, this is pure political/social satire/commentary and I believe the video will do an ultimately better job of getting my point across than this description can.

In 2006 I took this video (as well as "The Administratrix Reloaded") and remastered it in order to turn it in for my DMS entry portfolio. This is the remastered version.

What's new in remastered version:
-Slightly higher-quality video replacements.
-New clips altogether.
-A more cohesive flow over all.
-Tighter editing.
-Replaced graphics/titles with new graphics/titles.
-Title card at the end.
