Distillagua was created in early 2010 by a group of UW-Whitewater students. Their goal was quite simple: provide a cost effective and efficient way of purifying water for the masses in need. Inspired by the recent catastrophe in Haiti and all other areas in dire need of clean water, the Distillagua 6000 was born. With a mere $15.00 for supplies and a challenge from Wiscontrepreneur, a prototype was created in less than 100 hours. Our prototype is a water distillation system that can operate by solar power, fire, or bunsen burner. Our product will refine, refresh, and reinvigorate water around the world.
marketing this kind of tech could really help out people in poverty. I dont think the gord is getting it done.
