Relive the 1981 NFL Draft- Most people were just getting cable in 1981, so its possible this was the first draft on cable tv. Famous NFL players like Lawrence Taylor, Hugh Green were taken. Notice Chris Berman is a small timer back in 1981. Check out the old ESPN logo too..and the NFL desks for teams had only a helmet and a telephone!

funny, dave jennings said the linebackers don't like the giants selecting Lawerence Taylor, can get the hell out, and the coaches will pay for their one way exit. Historical pick.

Thats (L.T.) the quickest pick ever. About 10 seconds to decide. George Young is the only 5 time winner of Executive of the Year award. For him to not be in the HoF is a travesty.
He was named NFL Executive of the Year an unprecedented five times – 1984, 1986, 1990, 1993, and 1997.
