All the American Indians want is some respect just like everyone else. For people to know that all tribes are as different as the Europeans. And that they all don't live in the west and that they aren't stupid and all don't have casino's and that they aren't all moses. Have a pretty good sense of humor and yes maybe some tribes might write a musical about their lives just like Mel Brooks. And they don't hate all white people just the cranky ones.

@Beatriz091000 aparentemente ella es la directora de un comité indígena en los Estados Unidos. Básicamente ella dice que brando no acepta el oscar por el mal tratamiento que se le está dando a los nativos americanos, etc etc

i'd be really interested in the speech she prepared... does anyone know more about it?

i wonder how much things have really changed since then for the native indians...
