"Coming Home"
Cutshaw was originally intended to be seen returning the Colonel to the castle in this out-take scene. This sequence, which was absent from all released versions, bridged the transition from the bar-room brawl to the relative tranquility of Centre 18 where Kane will make his final sacrifice. It was cut for reasons of pacing, but does serve to emphasize the changing roles of the keeper and the kept which Cutshaw and Kane appear to have swapped. It also echoes their earlier Sunday morning visit to the church to attend mass, thus adding a further spiritual dimension to the inevitable denouement.
Thank you for posting all these!
