Hi!
Because my 1st gen PS3 kept on overheating and daily had a YLOD.
I started my extreme heatsink fix.
I bought 2 Coolermaster TX3's. And a System bracket fan.
And started working to keep my PS3 running cool al day.
Succes; system has been running a week on like 20 degrees room temp!

I live since 1997 here in Japan
I work in a factory that makes Sony PS3 parts.
My tip is stay away from Sony
Everything i bought already broke!
YLOD is a Sony design Flaw!
the heatsink sucks
Thermal paste sucks
Psu sucks
Would be wise make it external Sony

Also oi going to make the psu external or use an atx power suply 400w.

i just bought two cooler master TX 3 heatsinks' ... how did you done that , i'm very interested to do the same on my 40Gb PS3 phat motherboard, i wanna build a custom box too . so, any idea about the fixation system ?
