EDIT: Avalèn has now gone through a rigorous redesign to get rid of many bugs, errors and ambiguities, and to streamline both the vocabulary and grammar. The site (http://avalen.synthasite.com/) is slowly being updated to V5 Avalèn.

The second video about Avalǽn, note in some places the audio is incorrect, but the text is correct. Also, as it was previously, the audio is veeery slightly out of sync. should really fix that....

Any comments welcome...

Definite Article (the) = -ì
Indefinite Article (a/an) = -ò

Plural
Consonant = a- Vowel = al-

This = -is
These = -il
That = -ed
Those = -ev

The subject of the sentence is attached to the verb, either with an apostrophe, or directly (if a pronoun).

The object of the sentence is always the second noun in the sentence.

When using a pronoun as your object of the sentence, the independent pronouns are used.

  • There is now a forum where you can take part in Avalèn lessons (note, now Avalèn, not Avalǽn!) again, a lot of the grammar has changed, so take what is on the website as correct. Also, I'm expecting almost no one to turn up on the site for ages, so forgive me if you're waiting for lessons and nothing happens. I might also put up some pure grammar (rather than lessons) as well...

  • The website is: avalen[dot]proboards107[dot]com[slash]index[dot]cgi

    Sorry, it wouldn't let me put in the normal url...

  • nice job on your conlang, i like how it sounds, do you have a website somewhere that i can look at this in detail?

  • Well, I haven't actually done much work on it lately, been focusing more on natlangs, but I'm keen to pick it up again and make a website. I found heaps more mistakes a while ago and re-did all the grammar to make it better and clearer, so hopefully I'll put together a website soon and post the URL here. So don't take anything in the above video as gospel, as much of it will be changed in the revised version. Thanks for the interest!

  • I found a really silly mistake in my grammar! When you use a verb with the 1st person singular (I), and follow that by a plural noun, the spoken language sounds exactly the same!

    So, to fix this, I'll change a couple of things and repost the videos soon.

    Sorry guys!
