The famous Cute 'em up by Konami, featuring magnificient graphics on Super Famicom, nice music, and loads of fun to play. Especially in two players simultaneous mode.

  • Europe got a lot of kooky Japanese games, like Hebereke's Popoon.

Still wish we got some more proper RPGs though

  • @dumbasspauldentonkin Yep, we got the first parodius too, albeit with a slight bit of censorship (like the crosses on the clowns' heads in stage 2 being replaced by winders)

  • I remember my friend had this for his birthday, but his mum was supposed to buy him Axelay instead.

He was so gutted when he unwrapped it. His mum said, she thought she would surprise him.

It didn't stop there, watching him mope around around school trying to con someone into swapping it was even funnier, as soon as people saw the girly graphics they just laughed and told him to get lost.

Funny tale how the game was not so fun for others!

I still remind him of it 15 years on!

  • @Jamerio3D Pop n' Twinbee was an awesome game though, but i guess it makes little difference to a teenager :P, Axelay so much more cool looking ;).

  • Oh, wait a minute this is the first one which was indeed Japanese, my mistake.

  • NO you were completely right, this game saw an English releasein Europe, so you may have played the PAL version which was in English. I just happen to own the japanese version instead of the PAL one.

  • NOSTALGIA ATTAAACK!!

  • Games will never be this epic ever again :(

  • The music is awesome, so the game!

  • @15Surprise Porco Dio Ladro!

  • @vsv23te AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I played this game about two years ago. Before that I hated Twinbee for very stupid reason: he was the reason why Capsule J got replaced in Kirby Super Star Ultra- but when I played this game, I felt like my inner child was awake again.

Now seeing this game, I get this nostalgia-like feeling of the days I tried this out first time. It was a sunny day...

"Hey sis, look at this game, I feel like flying over a wonderous town!!! "

Now I'm like, one of the most hugest fans of Twinbee.

  • What a kick ass looking game. I think I might purchase.

  • I had this game! It was one of the best shooters i've ever played. Tons of powerups, different guns, great soundtrack and graphics... aaaahhh the 90's...

  • @Kafei2006 Yup, I just got that on the Playstation, which is without censorship.

It makes me wonder, given the (moderate) success of this sort of game over here why didn't we get Earthbound? I know it was a late release, but still
