Uh, you went to Serbia during winter :((. Belgrade and the countruside are at their best and most beautiful from April through September. I hope you had a great time and brought back many wonderful memories.

Maybe I miss a lot of the beauty of all the countries we visit (We usually go that time of the year -- lower cost, less tourists, no sweat.). But it's a trade-off.
I still enjoy seeing the architecture, the homes, and especially the people. Also, I still get a taste of the culture, the music, and the food and drink (rakija!).
