Dawn Chorus at the back of my house in Bordeaux, in the British Channel Island of Guernsey.
Recorded 9th April 2007 6:30am
Clearly audible are a variety of small birds as well as wood pidgeons and seagulls over the low thrum of a small fishing boat going out. After 3 minutes I move the camera to get a lesser kestral on a neighbours chimney pot but he's a bit far for my compact camera. The sun comes up over a disused vinery furnace, which lies fallow after the decline in the tomato industry. There're lots of these sites in Guernsey which coupled with our long growing season make for extensive hedge-rows full of berry bushes and mouse holes giving plentifull food for migrating and resident birds.
