Inline Skate Jumping Hazardous For All Sun 25.03.2007

Danger to everyone: take off board falls on jumper while filming another, and public was at risk. 25th March 2007 a little after 2:15 pm two guys using a take off board usually put on ground as a jumping platform was used to skate under while falling at a time numerous pedestrians used the narrow entrance/exit.

First, one of them filmed the other twice skating under the very long, heavy board while it fell. The guy with the camera dropping it paused once to let a pedestrian go by.

Second, while filming the other jumping and sliding along the top of the fence, the poorly placed long, heavy board fell onto the back of the guy filming. Very fortunately, he was standing close to it and little harm was done.

The board is so heavy that it takes two of them to lift and prop it up. The same is true once it falls in a leaning position onto the one doing the filming.

It was just luck that it did not fall onto the pedestrians exiting the Estate at this time. A group of three followed by a single person went by after it had been poorly propped on its end. Then it fell on the guy filming. They propped it up again as more people departed including a woman with a small child in a push chair. A similar woman with a child in a push chair had gone by as they were propping it up before the fall.

I don't want to see anybody injured from this irresponsible behaviour either those doing it or innocent people using the public access area which is quite narrow. They do stop and let people go by, but then they are subject to a hazard about which they know nothing.

The full video was two hours and 31 minutes long and started about 1216 on 25th March 2007. This event occurred after they had been jumping for two hours and were tired as well as negligent. This activity needs a supervised area with proper safety equipment. This is how people are injured or worse. It cannot be allowed to happen. Imagine that board falling on a woman and infant in a push chair. It could easily have happened here.

I didnt even see what was wrong until i Read the description...what about the amount of dangerous dogs on the streets?..the amount of knife and gun crime?...

The board wasnt even heavy!...Oh my goodness..what if the camera had fallen of its hinges..hit the ground..shattered and a piece of the lense logged in the babys windpipe due to a lazy installer not tightening the screws properly??
