  • Thanks for the video! I'm kind of frustrated though - looking everywhere for this, but can't seem to figure out what cell is actually the neoplastic cell in Papillary vs. Follicular Thyroid CA??

  • my mother is 53 years old and she has papillary carcinoma and she's afraid to undergo an operation. Is it okay that she will just another option for her cure? thank you.

  • iv had papilary thuroid cancer for 4 years it spreaded to my lungs removed all the cancer and my thyroid in my neck did radioactive iodine but still have cancer in my lungs will this kill me doctor.

  • any sign if it is metastastic??

  • my mom had this done a couple of days ago but she is fine now

  • Often protocol is to follow up with radioiodine therapy to kill off any remaining thyroid (only for a TT) Following was a smaller dose of radioiodine a year later for a whole body scan to check to see if it was gone. It was at the time I'm now hypothyroid for another follow up scan (3 years later) to check again. The prognosis is good.

  • Interesting video. Thanks for posting.

I had papillary carcinoma in my right lobe and had a total thyroidectomy. Also metastasis to seven of the surrounding lymph nodes (fairly common) They removed these as well.

  • If you find a tumor in one lobe would you remove both lobes? And then afte removal if you decide that, what next?
