The Oporto Airport in Portugal was built between 2003 and 2006, to improve the leadership position of the Oporto International Airport in the northwest region of the Iberian Peninsula and increase the volume of passengers.
The project involved the manufacture and assembly of 13000 tons of steel structures in twelve months, relevant numbers that were only possible with a high assembly rythm, reaching 50 daily tons.
Also worth mentioning is that the main structure of the project is constituted by arcs, 80 meters in lenght, weighing 100 tons each. The described works were placed in three main areas: central part, peer and walkways of access to boarding sleeves.
Thanks for sharing the video. This is one of my favourite airport in the world!!
