Ron Gross is what I would call a "premier flier" who has flown many types of aircraft and done it well. Here he is flying his new 6 motor "Hexacopter".
The video is recorded by a steerable HD cam that is gyro stabilized and that can be seen when you see the Hexacopter parts moving in the cam's field of view yet the picture remains stable. Ron has done a few electronic adaptions to this aircraft that are not seen but increased the capabilities of the unit's flying. Enjoy.
This video is over the airfield of the Las Vegas Soaring Club. The dry wash around the field was awash in 3 feet of run off water 2 weeks ago and the airfield was covered by 6 inches of snow last weekend. The runway is actually carpet and is 200' X 40'.
