Jim and Betty Loosemore built her business one baby bonnet at a time. New lead testing laws that go into effect February 10, 2009 may put her wholesale store, KBC Products, out of business, unless she pays to test and certify her inspirational and baby products.

Deanna Thornton has always considered safety when it comes to her organic baby clothing line, ja-lu. She has found a lab to test her products to comply with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, but says it will put a severe dent in her financial stability as a company.
