that pond is too big reminds me of a pool that a kid could drown in but I do have one question? Would it be realistic to use solar power for the pump? I dont want to spend a lot of money to run it year round and it would be hard to find a way to plug it in. Thanks!

You should have used electrical conduit along with stranded wires not romex. As for the cover on the GFCI try a in use cover.

You could, but not deep. it is only 2 foot deep.
I think you would have to add chlorine to keep it clean.

i really dont think those sides will last long before they bow. the weight of the water after time will be too much pressure?

With the 1 inch pipe inserted through the sides and into the ground for support, it has lasted three years, and doing okay. Check out video 1, for the pipe inserts..Good question!
