lol I could do goal without a mask, thanlks to a terrible accident I was in my bones were replaced with titanium metal so no mask? no probs lol

@Jsouthwell2006 you needed someone else to tell you that taking a flying puck to the face without a mask isn't a good idea?

Jacques Plante, Terry Sawchuk, Glen Hall, Johnny Bower, Gump Worsley......the best of the best. They stood bare faced against Bobby Hulls 120 MPH slapshot. That took BALLS. And to think Glen Hall used to puke between periods...wow. No backup goalie either.

@TheDaleDenton I can't imagine having balls big enough to play goaltender in ice hockey without wearing a mask. Stopping a puck with your face is just to painful.

@B69ne clint benedict was actually the one who wore it first when he stoped a puck wiht his nose. that was almost 30 years before plante

@tylerdurdonxx i play street hockey with out a mask but thats only cus we us a little orange ball, i wouldnt imagine using the gear they have either

@Jsouthwell2006 Yeah im a goalie too. I agree with you bro. Can't imagine playing without a mask. I take shots to the mask in a game and my ears are ringing for the next period or two.

thanks to this guy im still alive cus i play goalie and ive taken a few shots of the mask, i remember i took a shot of the mask during try outs last season and it left my head ringing so Jacques Plante ur a real live saver, i thank you :)
