Thanks. That's just a matter of personal preference. Everyone has their own favourite. The 70's version keeps to the book the most with the dialogues etc. but the scenes I saw from it do nothing for me.
Rochester just has to be charismatic and you have to believe they're in love. The 1983 version simply captures the spirit the best in my opinion.

I fell in love with this adaptation of Jane Eyre when I saw it and purchased the dvd from amazon but sadly it does not have a special feature on it with the dvd gallery...:(

@LadyViolet7 I often wondered about that. They looked like they were really in love.

well, from what I've heard, it was an on and off-screen romance.

Yes, she is all dreamy in that pic. :D

Thanks! I like a pic at 1:28. But I do not remember this moment in a film. Who knows it a shot from a film or it only a photo?

@Esperanza1871
You mean the shot of the 2 of them on a horse? That wasn't in any of the episodes sadly. I took it from the dvd gallery, but I've seen it online before too.

I fell in love with this magnificent version of Jane Eyre the first time I ever saw it. Timothy Dalton was Mr. Rochester and the actress playing Jane so matched the physical description of Jane plus she and Timothy interacted so wonderfully together that you felt you were watching a real love affair, instead of two fine actors creating make believe!
