the only time i would get a spring powered rifle is if i use it as a secondary otherwise the only spring powered thing i would get is a pistol.

First Off. The BB always has backspin. Hop-Up Just Allows you to adjust how much it gets. Also hop-up isn't just for when its windy it's to decide/balance accuracy with range. For instance a heavier BB you would want more backspin to increase range and accuracy. A standard light BB you would want less to keep the BB from having rediculous curves. Lastly, You paid $60 for that gun? You got ripped off a little...
