  • @maderafloors : there is so much you can resand the hardwood floors. If the nails screwed from underneath are not higher than the tongue and grove on the hardwood floor you should be fine because when sanding the floors I don'tthink you want to go lower than that tongue and groove. Am I right?

  • Though the screwing the floor in through the basement will more than likely fix the squeeks, it can create problems for a hardwood contractor refinishing the floor in the future, at somepoint through out the floors life depending on how long the screws are the person sanding the floor is likely to hit one of the screws with the drum of the sanding machine, this has happened to us in the past and we had to replace our drum which was $500. I would prefer injecting an epoxy through the top.

  • This is what i like, Someone with a brain, I was thinking about repairing my floor this way, After seeing B/S brackets, snaphead screws and drill to inject glues, I think this is the Best-Direct and Cheapest procedure, I will inject glue only in areas that are non basement accesable
