  • Bebel Gilberto,

gostei do tom da sua voz,

seu timbre de voz é comum...

    gosto das suas musicas...

... eu não me canso de ouvir...

é melhor ser alegre do que triste

alegria é uma coisa boa que existe.

    quero deixar um cheiro...

... Bebel, seu sorriso é lindo.

  • Bebel, filha de João Gilberto e sobrinha do Chico Buarque!

  • Banana Tree, I don't know.

    Banana Tree, could it be?

    Banana Tree, no clue.

    It's your point of view.

    Banana tree, I don't know.

    Banana tree, could it be?

    Banana tree, no clue.

    That's up to you.

  • Linda cancao como todas as de Bebel...As 2 q adoro sao "Samba da Bencao " e " Aganju"

  • @22mar79 Thanks for the information! Obrigado!

  • @gnukev Literally they're something like 'não sei' - 'I don't know', 'sei lá' - 'I don't have a clue', 'sei não' - 'I know not', both shorts for 'I don't know'. In English it would be something like 'don't know', 'dunno/dono', 'know not'. Bebel changes 'sei lá' for 'será' (short for 'it will be', 'it'll be'). A language full of possibilities, you see? Hehe. Hope it clarified.

    Greetings from Brasil!

    Samuel

  • @gnukev The original verses are "Bananeira não sei/ Bananeira sei lá/ A Bananeira sei não", both 'não sei', 'sei lá' and 'sei não' are variations of 'I don't know' in Brazilian Portuguese. Like, e.g., 'não sei' = 'I don't know'; 'sei lá' = 'dunno'; 'sei não' = 'dono'. Bebel changes 'sei lá' ('dunno') for 'será' ('it'll be'). 'Bananeira' can be the banana tree or the posture of standing upside-down with hands on the ground and feet up, that we call 'plantar bananeira', 'to plant banana tree'. ;)

  • Hey, my kinda people, here's another Brazilian song on banana, an old one:

    watch?v=35ZT6VfS-vI

Check it out and enjoy! ;)

  • i love this so much

  • @gnukev keep with the composers compositions "sei lá" in colloquial language "sei lá" means the same as "não sei"
