Full review of my Coleman Hooligan 3. I cringe as i watch this video, so I'll probably make a new one next spring.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2011- after a year of camping hard, my tent is beginning to show small signs of wear. I'm missing a couple stakes, and several pin-holes have appeared on the rain fly, which allow water in if it rains really hard.

  • Very nice review, buddy. I think I'm going to buy one. I'd just like to know about the ventilation without using fan. I live in Brazil in tropicals temperatures so I need a fan and a cool tent. I have another tent but 2 hours after sunrise inside it seems like hell. Very very hot!

    Nice video, man.

  • @DanielMelo86 this tent is entirely mesh on the inside, and circulates air very well. if you set it up in the sun though, it will get VERY hot VERY fast

  • @absolutelycanon 1. the tent weighs about 7-8 pounds, too heavy to backpack. unless you divide up the tent between a couple people. 2. in those temperatures, this tent will get toasty, especially if you have it set up in the sun. keep it in the shade :)

  • @crazytacostudios Nice review ,I have a few question , 1.How much it weighs.2 If i use it in the temperature around 20-30c am i going to burn inside ?

  • I´m from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I choose NORTHLAND Bike 3 instead this aewsome coleman. This coleman is much modern than bike 3 from northland but i think northland is superior because I tested it under extreme conditions. Anyway, this is a very nice video, congratulations man!! Thanks for the info, because bike 2 & 3 have a place on the roof to put de flashlight like it should be. Don´t worry, u live in a great conuntry and i live in argentina.

  • Good stuff!

  • @1newbucketheadcover1 it does not. this tent has a full rain fly, so the fly covers the enire tent. and ive never understood the small door in the back

  • @1newbucketheadcover1 the tent shouldnt leak as long as youre careful with the rain fly and dont drag it across the ground or anything. this tent could hold two twin airbeds no problem. or, if you really want some extra space, you could get the hooligan 4. the hooligan 2 is an ok tent according to reviews, but its not as large as this. its not freestanding either. that means it will fall over if it's not staked.

  • @onibastard I bought this tent last summer and went camping 3 times with it. Once it rained 2.75 inches in 12 hours! We slept just fine and were dry as a bone! There could be some water dropping in the tent from condensation, but that's only because people do not align the poles and the seams of the tent properly. Spend 5 extra minutes in properly setting up your tent and you will have no problem whatsoever! Great car camping tent, but not for backpacking!!!

  • nice review. bought this tent summer '09 and still have no complaints. also agree with the no lamp or lantern hook. i just use the Coleman magnet lamp..... cheap, sturdy and fairly compact light source. The Coleman magnet fan works good to circulate the air too on those hot nights.
