Hare Krishna!

I humbly offer this video at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, who 500 years ago mercifully bestowed upon us the nectar of sankirtan and popularized the mahamantra in order to help release living entities from the ocean of mundane misery and teach them how to properly love God.

The mahamantra, or great chant, consists of the sixteen words

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare

It is a blissful and beautiful Vedic chant which invokes the holy names of Lord Krishna. It can easily be chanted anywhere and anytime by anyone, no matter how impure or sinful one may be. One immediately begins to become purified by the mercy of the Lord and begins to cleanse karma.

In the Bhagavad Gita 4:5, Lord Krishna told Arjuna: "Many, many births both you and I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you cannot, O subduer of the enemy!". By this, it is understood that whenever we chant the holy names, the Lord not only takes notice of our souls and our lives as they are now, but he can also perceive the karmic momentum and the huge amount of suffering that we carry from previous lifetimes, and this invokes his compassion. Like a mother who immediately comes to a babe who is crying, Sri Krishna comes to save the soul who has taken an incarnation and who seeks refuge in Him.

@dariod2007 he's really black (one of his names, Shyam, means 'Black' and his other name Sundaram means 'Beautiful' so he's black and beautiful :-) but the artists have always painted him blue. I think it's a beautiful color, it's expansive like the sky, just like Krishna Consciousness expands the mind. Also, in the skies all things are contained, so with Krishna: it would make sense that the Heavenly Spirit is blue hued, when seen from Earth.

@dariod2007 And he's not like a girl exactly, it's more accurate to say he's androgynous, God is Mother and Father and in the Bhagavad Gita there's a verse where Lord Sri Krishna says 'I AM THE MOTHER, I AM THE FATHER, THE SEED AND THE ANCESTOR OF ALL THINGS'.

the inner image of Jesus is just an image and it brings love , one must connect to the true master Jesus in mtheir hearts to ascend and the churches don't usually know how to do that , that is why we have a mantra here that is sweet and sublime,

when Jesus says to pray constantly that is what he means, either pray a mantra or pray the lord's prayer, or, well you FIND YOUR OWN WAY to GOD because there are so many , but not all ways lead to the very top of the Kingdom
