Organizing Information can be a cumbersome task.

When you have a large list of data in Excel you will need to know how to use some of the tools here in order to manage the list and in particular to find information quickly. When the list gets beyond a certain size it becomes impractical to simply scroll up and down in the list. I was recently working with a client in a new accounting system where the person who set up their chart of accounts set up an incredibly robust chart of accounts. Unlike QuickBooks you cannot simply choose from a drop down in this program so I found myself spending an exorbitant amount of time scanning the account list in a separate module in order to find the accounts I needed to record the transactions. Eventually I said to myself, "there has to be a better way" and there is. I exported the chart of accounts to excel and now I can filter it, sort it and even search for keywords. One of the most powerful things I am going to demonstrate here is in how to show a list of the search results in excel. This gives me very quick insight into where I can find the information I need where there are multiple results and time is critical.
Using The MS Excel Advanced Find allows you to find all results and gives you a hyperlinked list so that you can click on a result and go right to that place in the spreadsheet without having to re-enter the find command for every other instance of a match. This saves time and time is money.
Generally speaking this web cast should give you some ideas for how you can run reports in QuickBooks (or other programs) and then get then information into the proper format so that you can sort it, filter it, search it and get the information you need quickly so you can use it and then move on to the next thing.

  • @tuddy23 Not all videos can be as amusing as your favorite "How to bake fluffy bread".lmao.Seriously?

Nerd Enterprises is more successful than you could fathom, bread boy. Seth David has taught me enough,in the short time I've known him, to start and maintain a social presence and effective advertising strategy for my now successful business.

I'll admit,my bread doesn't always come out fluffy, but at least I have a steady income and spend my days creating a place that allows women to have fun

  • @tuddy23 Seems like negativity runs deep in your comments on videos all around YouTube. Your lead video is of a dog and cat "playing" with each other. That my friend, is enough to make a grown man cry. You should really quit with the negativity and focus on breathing energy and light into your YouTube channel. Maybe one day you will be as successful as Nerd Enterprises.

  • Good information....
