With the barcode scanner as the vehicle that drives us to consume, the decision to purchase drives the world to be further immersed in the excrement of humanity's discarded materials. Your purchases are presented to you as beautiful creations from human ingenuity presented in it's pristine packaging - making it fun and satisfying to unveil. However, that satisfaction is not as beautiful as it may seem as it distracts your attention from the devastating ramifications of your purchases that are inflicted onto ourselves, others, and the complex ecosystem we live in.
