Il leggendario suono vellutato di Kempff, soave e splendido con Schumann e Beethoven, qui è al limite della levigatezza timbrica assoluta. Espressione soave ma nobile e dignitosa, gli echi con il pedale sono tangibili, mai eccessivi, sempre pieni di alone vellutato. E' questo lo Schubert che preferisco, in tutto il suo aspetto complessivo, poetico ma non "dolciastro", intenso ma non "sonnifero". Nessuno ha mai fatto meglio. Tutto Schubert fatto da Kempff è "una ghirlanda di piccoli sogni".

@trufiend138 Disagree. I love baroque (not particularly renaissance), but I can't think of much baroque which is as moving as this...or so many other romantic pieces I can think of.
