Fabulous! Zimerman has earned his place as one of the best pianists before the public today; too bad we will probably never hear him live in the U.S. again because of his courageous and truthful speech at his last concert here. Some people just can't handle the truth and turn a blind or disbelieving eye to the wars we perpetuate.

@wlaajaks Everyone has their own style, you shouldn't be saying anyone played better, thats the point of music, is to express your own feelings, do it your own way. and on the other hand, Zimmerman gives around 30-60 concerts/recitals per year, comparing him to yundi li, he has so much time to work on his music. what you said wasn't the fact it's your personal opinion.

I have listened to Abey Simon and Evgeny Kissin play this piece. Although, I appreciate Simon's speed and dexterity he lacks the romance in expressing the piece. Kissin is to caught up in the expression and in my opinion lacks some of the masculine strength in the piece, which brings me back to Zimmerman. He is elegantly graceful at light speed when he needs to be, accompanied by a strong masculine artisanship that I most appreciate. Vladimir Ashkenazy is a close second.
