@vincent12225 The front drum and middle drum are attached by a rubber band. Therefore, when you drive the rear wheel (by pedaling), the front wheel turns as well. The reason for this is twofold: By doing this more friction is introduced into the system which creates more resistance for a better workout. More importantly, the gyroscopic forces generated by the front wheel spinning helps the bike stay upright so you don't fall down!

@evanscoaching so is there like a pully?

@vincent12225 Both drums spin at the same rate. I suggest you go to the Kreitler Rollers website for more clarity to your questions.

@evanscoaching yea so if the front wheel in on its own freely spinning drum its not front wheel drive so the front shouldnt be moving right?

@evanscoaching Hi there, i was think of getting some kreitler rollers .. size 3.0 I am looking for a bit of a workout with heart rate increase and leg burn.
Do you think the 3. would be fine? or the one yo u have with resistance... would that be better?

@saskguytoon These are 4.5 with a flywheel. Plenty of resistance for all levels with these.
