Here is Mike's 2006 Pontiac GTO after a trip to the tuner. There's not much footage yet but I thought I'd throw together a little teaser for everyone. The car has the usual bolt-ons. Kooks headers, catless mids, corsa exhaust, ported TB. It is also has a comp cams blower cam and a D1SC Procharger. The car will also run methanol but has yet to be tuned for meth. Enjoy!

  • Hey man what kind of exhaust was this ? JBA CATTLESS MID and what else

  • @MrBriggsie It's Kooks 1 7/8" long tubes, kooks catless mids and corsa sport exhaust.

  • Hey buddy, do you still own the GTO? just curious, how much power do you think

these engines can hold with a stock bottom end i see your running 630 rwhp thats alot! did the engine hold out o.k...

  • @hsvgto06 The car was owned by a friend of mine. He no longer owns it but last I heard the motor is still running strong. I'd be more worried about the rest of the drivetrain though. This car has a built transmission/rear and a new driveshaft to handle the power.

Look through the comments on here, BlownGoat06 is the guy who used to own it. He could tell you much more than I could.

  • are your cats hollowed ?

  • Nope, it doesn't have any cats at all.

  • Change the exhaust, go for a more feep aggressive tone not a popcorn maker

  • @matttauke dont do that! instead of the ls7 you can get the lsx 454 crate motor for that price and makes more power and will be more durable. i also like gtos but they are heavy it wouldnt be my first choice to go fast maybe a 98-02 fbody would be a better choice or for that $20k you were talkin about spending you could do a wicked lsx foxbody mustang that would run 8s!

  • @hsvgto06 a freind of mine has a stock bottom end ls2 c6 vette with a procharger, bolt ons and sheetmetal intake and it makes 680rwhp and has made that for about 2 years with alot of street racing. oh and it also has the stock 6 speed auto trans still!

  • @ssfreak11, it is too bad the car was sold, I wanted to see some race videos. I plan on running a cammed 5.3L with a d1sc. 15lbs and meth should move my 98 s10 pretty good. I gotta beat up on some of my other import friends. :)

  • Sounds na na nasty! but ive gotta ask, a true Goat fan, how badass would it be to do a LS2/LS7 swap, 6000 for a rolling chassis and 14k for a LS7, think it would cost as much as what you got in ur GTO, all said and done? just curious, thinking about doing it....

  • nice gto. the ls engines bottom ends hold up pretty good being stock. ive been boosting mine for 2 yrs and i beat the crap out of mine and still running strong.

  • sounds like a monster!
