@jazzviolao Yeah with the DL-4 it outputs both inputs go to both outputs so you can't separate the two which is a pity.

Question. Do you have your vocals going to a PA or something while your guitar goes to the amp? I've been using a line 6 dl-4 to do my looping but have always been interested in looping vocals but didn't want them going to my amp, so you can have one source always loop to a different output to another source that's also going into the device? Great performance btw. :)

@potofgravy thanks. i've got both guitar and mic going into the looper, and a mono out from the looper to the amp, so no separation of mic and guitar in the sense of your question. the 2880 has a stereo mode, so i suppose if you used the left for vocals and the right for instrumental tracks (or vice versa) you could send vocal loops to the mix and guitar loops to your amp. i've never tried that, and i don't know how that'd work with the DL-4 or other loopers off-hand.

you can overdub something new on an existing track (in which case the fader becomes the 'feedback' level of the pre-existing track), or record over (replace via 'punch-in') an old track. a couple times in this song i start over fresh (new loop & record) and build up again, and i didn't use the mixdown feature at all. the 2880 is a nice unit - the most versatile unit i could find short of a laptop/software/pedal combo. good luck in your endeavours.
