@ty0052 In the Chinese Zodiac, there is a cat and it varies on where in China you're born that it changes from either the Cat or the Rabbit. In Fruits Basket, there is already a Tiger, and the character here is the Cat because he is considered an outcast, since it goes with the story of how the rat tricked the cat at the Zodiac banquet and never got to be a part of it. Hope that clears up any confusion, I'm sort of a sorvant of the series :D
