Natural Hair Talk 5: Flexi-Rod FAIL

What I learned:
I need to do this style on completely dry and stretched hair (like a dry twist out).
I need shorter rods.
I need to use a creamy moisturizer to set the rods instead of something oily.
I'll try it again some day. NOT SOON!

i love this!!! This is a "natural" rod set. With natural hair texture(especially tight curl patterns)the hair wont be "smooth" all over. SEPERATE the majority of the curls to give it more fullness.

@Brebiskety A long time ago, there was a show called MacGuyver. He was known for taking really small insignificant things and making whatever he needed with it. Like making a bomb out of 3 pens and some paper clips or something.

Oh my goodness. You're video was so funny...LOL You actually remind me of a girlfriend of mine.
You should try it again (if you haven't already, it HAS been almost two years since the video). Try using some setting lotion or wrap lotion too and smaller & shorter rods if your hair is still around the same length.
I'm in transition and so look forward to revealing my natural hair pattern. I'm wearing my hair with the flexi rod set lately and love it.

@malinda228 I have NEVER tried this style again. I should try it again though, you're right. My hair is much longer now and may act differently.
