  • That was an amazing job! Ratlidge organ parts on guitar!

  • thanks! hope to have a better recording up soon.

  • Holy shit, we also cover Facelift! And then we go into Mousetrap! And reprise Facelift! That is bizarre, our band, The Plastic Hassle, are made up of organ, flute, drums, bass and guitar, and we're huge fans of The Soft Machine, Canterbury scene and all jazz/prog rock along those lines, if you're interested check www.myspace.com/theplastichassle, although we haven't yet filmed a version of our Facelift!

  • i didn't find the sheet music until after we'd transcribed the whole song ourselves and had Hugh Hopper point out, in his polite English way, that the main theme as we were playing it was "not quite accurate."

Send me yr email address and I'll send you a rough mix of the version we do on our new record (due Sept). Hugh Hopper will be playing on it, though we haven't received his parts yet.

Thanks again for listening. I look forward to checking out your band.

    Ian (the drummer)

  • Email address is bensoc@gmail.com , keep in touch! Ben

  • Hold on...Hugh Hopper's playing in your band?? That's fantastic, tell him to check out the plastic hassle as we're all huge huge fans of his. We were all going to see the latest incarnation of The Soft Machine in Exeter, UK, a few months back so it was terrible to find out that Elton Dean had died, RIP.Anyway, the sheet music looks fantastic, I was pretty shocked to see that there was some in existence(!), by the hand of Hugh Hopper himself! I'll check it out for sure.
