Let us all help to speed the day when this wonderful earth and its rich resources are held in common for the benefit of all humanity.

I wish someone had punched that stupid, cretinous, insufferable oaf of a man in the face.

@Daisy12630 I could not agree more

He was a communist....a proud USSR Communist who jizzed on Stalin's picture
-
This man was a genuine psychopath. He had absolutely no grip on reality and continually re-interpreted it to suit his own mangled psyche. Thatcher, on THREE separate occasions offered the miners a deal which would have allowed 60% of the mines to remain open. He brought his members, who when they voted on this matter choose by a margin of 80% to support it and stay at work, out on strike and effectively destroyed an industry to save his own view of himself. He is a member of the Stalin Society
-
He was so far to the left as to be impossible to take seriously. Accepting money from the soviets and denying ballots for his strikes...how is he a hero?
-
Although Scargill may be an International Socialist or a Marxist, but his ideas seem to have influenced British Nationalism like the BNP of today since that is the party which wishes to reindustrialise Britain.
Hero. He makes me proud to be British.

@bonfirejovi Thatcher, may she soon be rotting in hell, created the conditions that have led to the current crisis.
She inherited a country that still had a significant industrial capacity and went all out for the quick buck to be made in finance destroying communities and whole areas of the country in the process.
Inflation affects profits first, that's why big business hates it, winter of discontent?
Let's hope we're heading for some TU action soon.
