Went back up and up and up this week as far as weight goes. I'd say it was a semi-controlled endeavor. I wanted to slow down and ease up a bit since I was losing faster than I'm comfy with, and I felt more hungry so those two combined into more of a "dial it back" type of week for me.

It's pretty hard when I get in the mood of "lose lose lose!!!" to shift my focus to something a little more blah like maintaining or even going back to a regular calorie intake and the weight gain that it entails.

HOWEVER, I think its really important to do this once in a while, and to be positive about it and through it, because the simple fact is that a weight loss journey like mine is a VERY intense physical change, and its safer to be careful and to pay attention to what my body is telling me.

Much of what I'm doing is just trying hard to pay attention to what my body really needs, whether I'm hungry or thirsty or whatever! : )

  • Interesting. How many calories a day do you take in that you were losing too fast? Is it that you were combining a lot of exercise with it? It's great that you are listening to your body more. You're doing great.

  • @tlhopeful I was doing about 1100-1300 but I had also started running over my lunch hour, so the weight loss started to happen really fast. While its really tempting to keep up with something like that, I made a promise not to lose too fast or to the point that I think its dangerous/unhealthy :)
