@J4K31 I think the point they're trying to make is that after all this time they still enjoy this song over others. Usually over a long period of time certain music loses its force or novelty. By talking about how long a person listens to the same song it tells on the quality and effectiveness of the music.
I'm sorry you're so dumb that I have to explain this to you like a child.

@J4K31 Debussysme faded away a decade after it started, and it was completely forgotten about for the rest of the romantic era, but hardly anyone recognizes that traces of its fundamental techniques still appear in modern music. Therefore making it a credible fact that this piece is still being celebrated 30 years after its composition and release, by a person my age who did not exist until 1 1/2 decades after its release.

@J4K31 its because music from 30 years ago.. e.g. this piece is still not as popular as some of mozart's, debussy's, ravel's, and even few medieval pieces I've encountered for that matter.

Thumbs up for clock stopper
To all. Stop restoring one another's faith in today's good taste in music. There is no such thing as one and only good song, artist or genre. Never been. I can get that you especially like that one kind but for god sake leave other's prefferences alone!!! I'm sick of this trend in today's people opinions on each kind of deeds from nowadays - isn't that pathetic? Or is it just me? I am not 10, 11 or 13, I am almost 20 and I feel confused. Have a good time listening to whatever you like, all ages.
