This video is part of a series of screencasts that I recorded to demonstrate how to apply the MVVM (model-view-viewmodel) architecture in WPF and Silverlight applications. In this sixth part I show how we add more sophisticated data binding using a WPF DataGrid.

Remember, this has been live coding. Therfore you will see me messing up the sample now and then. However, in the end it's working fine.

  • Another Excellent.

  • Wow! Your tutorials helped me in 30 minutes more than 2 books I was reading this week.

I'm currently migrating a WinForms application to WPF and this information was really helpful.

May I ask you one thing in case you know how to handle it?

I have to load thousand of small JPG files in a view, but I would like to do that async and only for those that are viewable in the client screen.

How does WPF work on that?

Thanks a lot again and keep posting more tutorials. They are very helpful.

  • You've been a really great help, thank you!!

  • Thanks for your screencast!!!

Just great, I have developed with VIsual Stutio since 1999 and I'm migrating to WPF and Silverlight and I have to tell you that your screencast is one of the best I have seen till now.

Thanks for you work and share with all the community!

    Sergio!

  • I assume what I keep hearing as I watch these is your computer grinding away ... :D
