"Burro Has Three Wheels" including Mexico,Central America & South America (Colombia,Ecuador,Peru,Chile,Argentina was produced after motorcycle touring the Pan American Highway. Originally the entire movie was part of a 4 episode, 3 hour, 2 disc DVD. Episode 1 Mexico was included as a free section because I only had a cell phone camera with me when I began the trip and did not purchase a true video camera until 1/2 way through Mexico. Due to production enhancements episodes 2-4 are now only sold as individual episodes. That said, you can view the original Mexico (episode 1) at http://burrohas3wheels.com. I will have a current Mexico movie (episode 8 "Mexican Highways") available for my customers within the next few months.
The movie is filmed as a reality style travel documentary. Solo, riding a Ural with a sidecar from Mexico to the tip of South America I take the viewer driving the Pan American Highway (La Carretera Panamericana or Carretera de los Andes) all the way to "The End of the World" near Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina. Purchase the DVD at http://motorcycletrips.net/purchasedvd.htm

At the time I headed south I had no idea what I would find. Since then I have posted a article on my website burrohas3wheels relating to a recent 2 month journey through Mexico you should find very information titled Is Mexico Dangerous. That said I found the people and countries to be very friendly and accomodating including the numerous border crossings that require from 30 minutes to 4 hours to transit. You'll enjoy the article I posted on my website burrohas3wheels

No it isn't that dangerous. That said, you should not drive after dark. You are in unfamiliar places and just like anywhere in the world you could end up in a less than desireable place. Using this type of common sense should help you have a terrific adventure. You should know that the only places I have been seriously threaten have been in the US and Peurto Rico. I've traveled in over 50 countries so this has some bearing.
