The Streamlight TLR-3 is a weapon mounted light made to fit a universal or picatinny rail, specifically for handguns. Due to its light weight, it does not interfere with the balance of the gun and due to it's size, it does not over extend the muzzle of the firearm.

This light produces a 90 lumen beam with a focused center which is practically good to about 25 yards outdoors. When used in a home or confined environment, it can light up an entire room just by shining it on the ceiling.

The compact nature of this light is due to its use of just one 3 volt lithium CR-2 battery, which yields 1.5 hours of run time max.

Streamlight claims that this light is dust proof and shock proof. It is waterproof down to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

This light features a light weight polymer body and an anodized aluminum face-cap. The lens is borfloat glass.

  • btw do they sell one like this that comes with built in laser too?

  • @emkplayboy6

Yep that would be the TLR 2 off of the top of my head. I don't have any experience with that one though.

  • will this fit xd9 sc????

  • It will attach to your light rail using one of the included keys that comes with the light. Roughly half of the light will stick out past your muzzle. This is what happens with almost all lights on compact guns (at least with the current selection of lights). As I understand it, the only effect on the light will be that it will get dirty on the top of the light housing from muzzle blast.

  • Anyone own this light? Any issues? I've read several reviews where people said it broke along the bracket that attaches to the rail. (broke near the screw) some said it broke just tightening it, and others said it broke while firing. Wondering how common this is and if anyone has fired lots of rounds with no issues. To those that had it break on them: Have you tried using a high strength epoxy glue to fix it? I'm guessing that epoxy is stronger than the polymer itself.

  • my tlr 3 the pickiny rail clip brok in half after i pulld the triger of the 40 cal it was mounted under

my new openion it is crap light

  • good review man! this helped me to make my decision, thanks!

  • @jamalicious1 its ok. . weapon lights don't have awesome LED efficiency compared to modern flashlights (heck glock still uses xenon bulbs) because they don't need to be used alot. 1.5 hours is a long time in terms of using a pistol mounted light and 4sevens sells cr2's for the same price as their cr123a's

  • @tkdstealth But it is anodized so the dirt will be easy to wipe clean. thanks man.
