Al Anderson was the driving force behind the Wildweeds, Along with Bob Dudek, Ray Zeiner, Martin "Skip" Yakaitis, and Andy Lepak. Doc Cavalier was their early producer, as well as Manager.....They were one of the best bands Connecticut had to offer!

I opened for them with my high school band at Staples High School and then at the Bushnell Auditorium in Hartford with th Rascals headline. Was I nervous? Oh, yeah. Al was great then, great now!

Fabulous song! I'm Canadian, and for decades I've only been familiar with the version by Susan Jacks, which was a big radio hit in Canada around 1972.
As a kid I loved that version of this great song, but this hot soul original is something else entirely!

Boy, I was stationed at Fort Gordon, GA
back in 1967 and this song got a lot of
airplay in the Augusta area.
