i have a young alligator how can i tell if its a boy or girl?

Well, you'll need a pair of forceps that spring apart. You insert them GENTLY into the cloaca on the underside of the alligator. Spread the cloaca open; if you see something pointy in there, it's a male, if not it's a female.

AWWWWW! Sooooo cute!!! <3 I love alligators and am writing a children's book about a baby alligator. We need to work to change the image of these amazing animals... I am wondering where mom is... Has she been removed from the lake? They are very protective mothers.  What happened to the babies?
